Hot Lunch Information

St. Mary's hot lunch program is a participant in the Federal National School Lunch Program. All families will receive an application for free and reduced forms in their beginning of the school year packet. If anyone needs copies of the form they can be obtained from the school office or the kitchen or on the web site. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.

Hot lunch is served every school day. Please send your lunch money on Monday or the first day of each school week. Put the check or cash in an envelope – under the name of the parent and list the names and grades of the children. A daily, accurate account is kept of each child's payment.

Hot Lunch and Nutrition

Students need to eat three balanced meals a day. Breakfast is offered to the students daily starting at 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM. The cost is $2.60 including milk.

The lunch period starts at 10:55 AM. Parents and grandparents are invited any time to eat with their child. The price is $3.85 for adults.

If cold lunch is preferred, a nutritious diet should be sent - protein, grain (bread), vegetables, and fruit. No soda or snack foods please. Milk is provided at a separate charge of $ .40 per carton. Milk is included with the hot lunch meal at a cost of $2.85 per day.

Parents are to inform us if there are special diets or allergies. A doctors' medical notice is to be put on file in the kitchen. We will work with you to be sure your child gets the proper foods. Any questions, please call 715-443-3430, ext. 306.

Free and Reduced Price School Meals

Menu subject to change due to availability. PLEASE NOTE: The federal Government has extended the Offer vs. Serve provision to elementary level. This means that the required lunch pattern must be offered, but children may refuse two of the five lunch components provided. This provision is designed to prevent plate waste resulting from having children take items they do not intend to eat. They must choose at least three of the five nutrition groups. All meals include: ½ pint milk (chocolate no-fat, white 1% and skim); or 4 oz. orange juice, cheese, peanut butter, homemade bread, rolls, or buns.
