Hi, my name is Paige Koch. I have a variety of teaching responsibilities at St. Mary's, which include 7/8th grade homeroom, 8th grade spelling, 3rd - 8th grade Phy. Ed., and 6th - 8th grade math, along with being the Athletic Director. After graduating from Marathon High School, I continued my education at UW-Marathon County and later received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics Education at UW-Stevens Point. So far in my teaching career I have been a long term substitute and 2nd grade teacher for the D.C. Everest School District, and a long term substitute for Marathon Area Elementary School. I have been at St. Mary's since December 2015.
Since I have a very sports-oriented family, most of our time is spent cheering on each other, the Marathon Red Raiders, the Packers, and the Badgers, along with playing a variety of sports, especially volleyball. I also enjoy reading books, painting, and playing with our dogs,Grizzly and Dexter.
I really love being at the school I attended and working with lots of different grades. Math has always been a fun subject for me to learn and teach because of the many everyday life applications. As for Phy. Ed., I am very passionate about fitness and want to help others develop a sense of wellness that they will utilize throughout their life! St. Mary's helped shape me into the person I am today, and I hope that by exhibiting core Catholic values I am able to have the same positive impact on my students that my teachers had on me.
