Is there anything truly unique about Saint Mary's Catholic School? As you walk through the school building and see the messages on the bulletin boards or hear the instruction inside the classrooms or smell the home-style cooking from the kitchen, you become aware that the faculty and staff of Saint Mary's care for the students and try to create a partnership with parents in the formation and education of their children. Like most Catholic grade schools, Saint Mary's offers a faith-based curriculum where Christian principles are taught and lived. One truly unique characteristic of Saint Mary's School revolves around the commitment of many parishioners with regard to the school. Time, talent, treasure – we are blessed at Saint Mary's because the larger parish family dedicates a good amount of its time, talent and treasure in order to maintain and support the school. So come visit – see the messages, hear the instruction, and smell the cooking. You most probably will find yourself saying, "Wow, what a fantastic school."

Welcome to St. Mary's School.  I grew up on a farm two hours southeast of Marathon outside Campbellsport, a town about the size of Marathon, with my parents and seven sisters. I attended UW-Madison for my undergraduate degree and have master's degrees from UW-La Crosse and Marian University. Past professions and industries I have worked in include construction, real estate, sales, public relations, travel, computer programming and project management, but I have spent most of my career in Catholic education. I have enjoyed all the places I have worked and I like being here at St. Mary's. I spent nearly 20 years in the Twin Cities before moving back to Badger and Packer territory. Some of the schools I worked at while in the Twin Cities were St. Thomas Academy, an all-boys Catholic military school, the Convent of the Visitation School, an all-girls Catholic school and the Academy of Holy Angels, a coed Catholic college preparatory school.

The reason why I enjoy working with young people is because they are a work in progress with many possibilities and adventures in front of them that I can help guide them through. What I like about St. Mary's is that we are big enough to be vibrant yet small enough to be a community. I like our ability to combine new ideas while maintaining traditions as we wouldn't know which path to take in the future if we don't know what path we were on. I enjoy being principal as I can combine my past careers in education, management, IT, business and public relations. Having been to over 150 countries, including student teaching in Australia, traveling is a passion of mine. Other interests include volunteering, politics, sports and watching old, Golden Age Hollywood movies. To Thine Own Self Be True
