Is there anything truly unique about Saint Mary's Catholic School? As you walk through the school building and see the messages on the bulletin boards or hear the instruction inside the classrooms or smell the home-style cooking from the kitchen, you become aware that the faculty and staff of Saint Mary's care for the students and try to create a partnership with parents in the formation and education of their children. Like most Catholic grade schools, Saint Mary's offers a faith-based curriculum where Christian principles are taught and lived. One truly unique characteristic of Saint Mary's School revolves around the commitment of many parishioners with regard to the school. Time, talent, treasure – we are blessed at Saint Mary's because the larger parish family dedicates a good amount of its time, talent and treasure in order to maintain and support the school. So come visit – see the messages, hear the instruction, and smell the cooking. You most probably will find yourself saying, "Wow, what a fantastic school."

Welcome to St. Mary's School.  I grew up on a farm two hours southeast of Marathon outside Campbellsport, a town about the size of Marathon, with my parents and seven sisters. Despite being a product of Catholic education early in my life, I attended public universities, UW-Madison for my undergraduate degree and UW-La Crosse for my graduate degree. Past professions and industries I have worked in include construction, real estate, sales, public relations, travel, computer programming and project management, but I have spent most of my career in Catholic education. I enjoyed my previous time as a teacher as well as the administration roles that I performed. I am happy to be back in Badger and Packer territory, after spending several years in the Twin Cities.  Some of the schools I worked at while in the Twin Cities were: St. Thomas Academy, an all-boys Catholic military school, the Convent of the Visitation School, an all-girls Catholic school and the Academy of Holy Angels, a coed Catholic college preparatory school.

The reason why I enjoy working with young people is because of their (sometimes brutal) honesty and the fact that they have so many possibilities and adventures in front of them that I can help guide them through.  I enjoy my current position as I can combine my past careers in education, management, IT, business and public relations.  Having been to over 150 countries including student teaching in Australia, traveling is a passion of mine.  Other interests include volunteering, politics, football and watching old, Golden Age of Hollywood movies as I enjoy subtlety. To Thine Own Self Be True

Our school family consisting of students, faculty, staff, parents, and parish members is uniquely dedicated to excellence in education along with the passing of the Catholic faith. As each student grows in mind, body and soul, St. Mary's family is with them every step of the way as they follow the path God created for them.

4K – 8th grade students are welcome to join our school family. Please browse this site to witness all the wonderful things happening at St. Mary's School. Please contact the school office (715-443-3430) to set up a tour or for further information.

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me." He is waiting to meet your children at St. Mary's School.
